Keep Cool on a Steamy Southern Sunday

Southern ladies will board the paddle-wheeler Louisiana Sunday at 4 pm SLT. Avion will play some moist theme tunes as we all strive to become the Best Southern Belle.

We've made some changes to the race track recently - ten new motorcycles and two new cars have been added to the rezzers, including the "Thelma & Louise" Thunderbird pictured below. And because of the different ways vehicles are controlled, instructions for each have been added as well as HUDs for many - you will be offered one or both when the vehicle is rezzed.

In case you don't know where the race track is (or that we even have one!), it's at 500m above Venus Gardens, our northern sim - there is a teleport board in the landing hut, and a couple more near Caf-a-Blanca .... or go to the airfield and fly up :)

From The Shops this week comes the cute and colorful Java Designs' Get Down Dress, available for L$59 in fitmesh and four standard mesh sizes and including Slink flat shoes. An animal print version (Get Down Wild) is also available for only L$40. 

White Rabbit Avion presided over our annual visit to the Big Bunny on Easter Sunday with a clever selection of themely music. Surfer, Sunbeam and Shelly tied for Best Easter or Spring Attire.

 
DJ Suzi brings us a special Acoustic Sunrise event this Sunday, 5-7 am SLT, featuring kimonos and sushi. Also, look for notices of Acoustic Sunrise events most Saturdays, 5-7 am SLT.

Mondays at 9 am SLT, DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of classic rock, blues, and jazz, with a few wild cards thrown in. This week there'll be a J Geils tribute, plus the anniversary of the release of Seger's "Live Bullet."

DJ JoAnn plays tunes from her formative music years, the incomparable '80s, at 5 pm SLT Mondays.

DJ Avion's beachy Tiki Toosday returns this week to the Venus Beach Swimming Pool. Tuesday at 5 pm SLT.

DJ JoAnn plays goth and symphonic metal when we visit Madam Lash's House of Pleasure and Pain every Wednesday at 5 pm SLT.

DJ Surfer spins the hits when we meet for the varied activities of Games Night, Thursdays at 5 pm SLT.

It'll be Girls! Girls! Girls! Friday at 5 pm SLT when DJ JoAnn plays girl-themed tunes. And, since Girls Just Want to Have Fun, there might even be an adventurous few who use the occasion to display their "girls" instead of last week's numbers.
