'And the Oscar Goes to...'

At the Oscars Sunday we're likely to hear a lot about women, and that's always the case at our annual Oscars event. Walk the red carpet to join DJ Avion at 4 pm SLT Sunday. Attire? favorite actress, or favorite costume from a film, or a stunning dress one might see on the red carpet. Have fun with this one and feel free to be creative.

Pretty party dresses proliferated at Ella's Sunday evening as we danced to DJ Avion's somewhat slower offerings. Once again, we demonstrated that "party dress" had many interpretations.

Another unique theme for Acoustic Sunrise at 5 am SLT Sunday in Venus Bean coffee lounge. You'll be thinking, "Paddle faster, I hear banjos," cuz it's Dueling Banjos this Sunday as DJ Suzi's musical selections all include banjo. Record turnout last Sunday for smooth jazz and lingerie and a celebration of Qntal's birthday.

On occasional Saturday mornings, DJ Bea hosts impromptu jazz at Venus Bean. Last week she featured Coleman Hawkins and Kenny Burrell.

DJ Bea returns this week to play her usual eclectic mix of classic rock, blues, and jazz every Monday at 9 am SLT. This week, says Bea: "Lots of my newer purchases, plus other stuff that's more eclectic."

DJ JoAnn plays music from the incomparable '80s at 5 pm SLT Mondays. Tons of memorable hits, and always a few that are likely to be new to you.

DJ Avion spins tunes old and new on Tiki Toosday, 5 pm SLT, at a variety of tropical locations on the VB II sims. This week we'll be in the VB II Swimming Pool.

DJ JoAnn plays symphonic and goth metal when we gather at Madam Lash's House of Pleasure and Pain each Wednesday at 5 pm SLT.

DJ Surfer provides the music when we get together for Games Night, Thursdays at 5 pm SLT. During Games Night, or any other time, the Amusement Park, Games Room and nearby airfield and racetrack provide endless activities and fun.

Fridays at 5 pm SLT, DJ JoAnn spins a musical theme that often takes place in one of Avion's clever venues. After drying out from the rain, this week the opposite: Sun ... let the sun shine in your heart.
