New at Venus Beach II 

First, a group gift! Located against the back wall of the landing hut, and you must wear your VB II group tag to receive it. It's shorts and a top with the VB II logo, courtesy of Elisabeth Sweet and arranged by Susanna Alskling (thank you both!) 

The other newness is the Venus Beach II Pony Club, a track and horse rezzer which gives you a horse to wear and ride anywhere on the two sims. Don't forget to touch the sign for an instruction notecard, which includes how to ride doubles with another avatar.

This past week we paid tribute to our kittycat friends, many of whom are approaching their fifth birthday, in the dual-themed Dolly's (Best Little Cathouse in SL). Their human servants displayed an array of costumes in theme with the other meaning of cathouse, dancing to music with a feline bent.

At Acoustic Sunrise on Sunday at 5 am SLT  DJ Suzi will return to her roots with a selection of soft jazz at Venus Bean.  Last week we were treated to music themed to Political Incorrectness ("murder, abuse. misogyny, xenophobia, and paedophilia, something to offend everyone"), with a new record of 29 attendees at a single event.

DJ Bea plays an eclectic set of rock, blues and jazz on Monday mornings at 9 am SLT. This week, Bea will be playing "a strange amalgam of twofers, with a couple of threefers - some by artist, some by song".

DJ JoAnn continues her excursion into the best decades of contemporary music with '80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. As always lots of your favorites, plus a few that are likely to be new to you.

DJ Avion spins tunes old and new, by artists legendary and obscure, when we gather for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT in a variety of locations on the two VB II sims. This week we will be in the outdoor Neon Palms on the northern sim.

DJ JoAnn presents Symphonic and Goth metal Wednesdays at 5 pm SLT in Madam Lash's House of Pleasure and Pain. Goth attire is entirely optional.

Fridays at 5 pm SLT DJ JoAnn plays a musical theme that often takes place in one of the special venues. This week JoAnn continues with part 3 the "Time" theme as we enter another year.
