Venus Beach II Turns VII

Not everyone is Canadian (July 1) or American (July 4) but we're all Venusians (July 6), and we'll all gather Sunday at 4 pm for our featured event of the week. Birthday cake and music by DJ Avion, and a special appearance by Janni the Moose Whisperer. Your birthday suit might be national attire, VB II garb, or, of course, the euphemism.

Pretty party dresses proliferated last evening as DJ Avion slowed things down a bit for our listening and dancing pleasure. It was our second visit of the day to the open-air, supper club atmosphere of Ella's.

DJ Suzi's Acoustic Sunrise at 5 pm Sunday returns to another unique theme this week. Join us for Beatles Covers at Venus Bean Coffee Lounge. Last week's lingerie and smooth jazz event set VB II records by filling the homestead sim with 20 present at one time, and drew 23 overall for a single event.

DJ Bea plays an eclectic mix of rock, blues, and jazz every Monday at 9 am SLT. This week, says Bea: "Lots of two-fers, including two lesser known and related albums ."

DJ JoAnn continues her trip through the best decades of contemporary music with '80s Night at 5 pm SLT Monday. As usual, tons of memorable hits, and always a few finds that are likely to be new to you.

DJ Avion spins tunes old and new by artists legendary and obscure when we gather for Tiki Toosday at 5 pm SLT at a variety of locations on the two Venus Beach II sims. This week it's Surf's Up! Tiki Bar, directly west of the main dance floor.

We return this week to our regularly scheduled programming after observing the Solstice at Venus Henge. DJ JoAnn presents Symphonic and Goth Metal at Madam Lash's House of Pleasure and Pain at 5 pm SLT Wednesday. Goth attire is entirely optional.

DJ Surfer provides the music for Games Night at 5 pm SLT Thursday. On Games Night or any other time, the Games Room, Amusement Park and nearby airfield and racetrack offer endless activities for individuals, couples and groups.

After DJ Shellly filled in with Cops 'n' Robbers, DJ JoAnn returns at 5 pm SLT Friday to spin a musical theme that often takes place in one of Avion's clever sets. This week's theme is 4 Chord Songs.
